After completing his degree and Post Graduate studies from Sacred Heart College, Thevara, Cochin and Christ College, Irinjalakuda, he joined Mar Thoma Seminary, Kottayam for Theological education. In 1978, he became the Kassesa and subsequently served as Parish priest at Jalahalli, Palarivattom, Colaba and Staten Island, and other Parishes. On December 9, 1989, he was consecrated as Episcopa and was in charge of the North America-Europe Diocese and Kottayam - Kochi Diocese.

Presently, He is in charge of Delhi Dioceses.

Mar Barnabas took his degree from CMS College, Kottayam and later studied in Bishops college, Calcutta. He was ordained in 1976 and served in different parishes in India such as Anakulam, Bombay, Chembur, Thuruthicad and North Madras.

He was also in charge of Edmonton parish in Canada. He was consecrated as Bishop on 2nd October 1993 along with Mar Timotheos and Mar Philoxenos.

He was in charge of Thiruvanathapuram - Kollam Diocese.

Presently, He is in charge of the Thiruvanathapuram - Kollam Diocese.

Having done his college education and later Post Graduation in Gujarat, he joined Union Theological College, Bangalore for his theological studies. He worked as a lecturer for a short period in Gujarat and was ordained in 1983 and served as a Parish priest in various places - Surat, Barooch, Vapi and Gudalur. He was consecrated as Bishop on October 2 1993. He was in charge of the Kunnamkulam - Malabar Diocese.

At present, He is the Diocese Bishop of Chengannur - Mavelikkara.

Born at Attupurathu House, Mavelikkara, Kerala, had college education at Bishop Moore College, Mavelikkara and Banaras Hindu University and studied theology at Bishops College, Kolkota and Princeton Theological Seminary. Secured Ph.D. from Banaras Hindu University on the topic “Doctrine of grace in Vaishnavism and Christianity”. This helped in initiating inter – religious dialogue in the Indian context with people of other faiths. While being a lecturer at Mar Thoma theological Seminary was elected to be the bishop of Mar Thoma Syrian Church and consecrated in 1993. Now in charge of the North America - Europe Diocese.

Dr Abraham Mar Paulos hails from Kanjirathara family, Kottayam in Kerala. His home parish is St Peters Mar Thoma Church, Manganam. He studied at the Government Lower Primary School, Muttambalam; M T Seminary High School, Kottayam, CMS College, Kottayam and Basaleos College, Kottayam. He had his theological training from Mar Thoma Theological Seminary, Kottayam and Princeton University. He took a doctorate in Christian Education from Boston University. He was ordained as a Deacon on May 31, 1980 by Dr Joseph Mar Irenaeus Suffragan Metropolitan at Manganam St Peters Mar Thoma Church. His Ordination as Kassessa was on June 28, 1980 at St Thomas Mar Thoma Church, Thiruvalla by Dr Alexander Mar Thoma Valia Metropolitan.

He was ordained as Ramban on February 2, 2005 at Jerusalem Mar Thoma Church, Kottayam by Rt. Rev. Geevarghese Mar Athanasius Episcopa.
On 14th May, 2005 he was consecrated as Episcopa of the Church at S C Seminary Tiruvalla by Dr Philipose Mar Chrysostom Mar Thoma Metropolitan.

He served in different Parishes such as Naranamoozhy, Kattikkalaruvi, Thonikadavu, Ranni Pazhavangadikara, Trivandrum Paruthippara, Karthamangal, Bangalore, Kaithakuzhy, Boston. He was also served as the Chaplain of St Thomas Schools, Trivandrum and as Diocesan Secretary of Trivandrum Quilon Diocese. His tenure as General Secretary of the Sunday School Samajam was the exemplification of his Leadership qualities, organizing capabilities.

The centenary celebration of the Sunday School Samajam including the Children’s Maramon under his leadership was a remarkable effort. Consecrated as Episcopa on the silver Jubilee year of priesthood, His Lordship is a great orator, good scholar, theologian and above all he is a great friend of children and youth. After serving the Trivandrum - Quilon and Mumbai - Delhi dioceses, Delhi, he is shepherding the Adoor Diocese at present.

Bishop Mar Makarios (Rev. Dr. Varghese Mathai) was born on February 25, 1953. He is the son of Mr. K.E. Mathew and Kunjamma of Kalayil Kannanpoikayil. Thirumenis mother parish is Thumpamon Immanuel Mar Thoma Church in Pathanamthitta District. Thirumeni completed his bachelors degree in Theology from Kottayam Vaideeka Seminary (1975-1978). Makarios Thirumeni was ordained as a Deacon on April 21, 1978 at Kozhencherry St. Thomas Mar Thoma Church by Joseph Mar Ireaneus Episcopa and as a priest on May 22, 1978 at Thiruvalla St. Thomas Church by Alexander Mar Thoma Metropolitan. He was ordained as a Ramban on May 7, 2011 and consecrated as an Episcopa on August 13, 2011. Thirumeni obtained his M.Th. from FFRRC, Kottayam (1983-1985) and his Ph.D. from SATHRI, Bangalore (1991-1994), based on the subject "The Revelation of Christ in Johns Gospel of the New Testament."
Thirumeni served as a priest in parishes at Ranny Valiyakavu MTC, Karimpanamkuzhy MTC, Kumali MTC, Anakkara MTC, Vandenmedu MTC, Calcutta MTC, Nattaseri MTC, Sydney, Australia, New Zealand parishes, and Othara Ebenezer MTC. He also served as the student chaplain in the Kottayam-Ranni Diocese and as Bahya Kerala Eastern Zonal Secretary.

Thirumeni taught New Testament for 18 years at various institutions including Leonard Theological College, Jabalpur, Mar Thoma Theological Seminary, Kottayam, and FFRRC. Thirumeni also served on the Research Committee of Serampore University, Calcutta and Dean of Doctoral Studies at FFRRC. Bishop Mar Stephanos (Rev. K. V. Varkey) was born on March 16, 1959. He is the son of Mr. K.P. Varkey of Kinattukara Parayil house and Kunjamma of Chengannur Plamoottil house. Thirumenis mother parish is St. George MTC in Fort Kochi. He obtained B.A. and M.A. in Philosophy from Maharajas College, Ernakulam, and M. Phil from Madras Christian College. Thirumeni was in the University football team while studying at Maharajas college. He completed his bachelors degree in Theology from Bishops College, Calcutta (1982-1986), affiliated to Serampore University. He was ordained as a deacon on June 27, 1986 at St. Thomas MTC, Thiruvalla by Easow Mar Timotheos Episcopa and as a priest on July 30, 1986 at St. George MTC, Fort Cochi by Easow Mar Timotheos Episcopa.  
He was ordained as a Ramban on May 7, 2011 and consecrated as an Episcopa on August 13, 2011. He served as a priest in parishes at Bilaspur, Corba, Ambikapur, Chetpet, Thambaram, St. Thomas Mount, Kolalampur, Ranchi, Mumbai Santacruz, Maramon, Venmony Sehion, and Kavum Bhagom Ebenezer. Thirumeni also served as the Principal and Manager of Ranchi St. Thomas School, Vice President of Ranchi Education Society, Missionary at Ranchi Navajeevan Kendram, manager at Maramon A.M.M. School, Vice President of Niranam-Maramon Voluntary Evangelistic Association, Vice President of Niranam-Maramon Development Board, and Secretary of Mar Thoma Medical Mission. For his administrative abilities, he has received several awards, including best principal award in 1997 from Prathibbha Uthan Parishad, Bihar, Vijayasree award in 1999 from India International Friendship Society, New Delhi, and International Millennium Gold Star Award in 2000 from International Forum for NRSs New Delhi.

He is presently the Episcopa of the Delhi Diocese.

Bishop Mar Theethos (Rev. Dr. Oommen George) was born on May 10, 1959. He is the son of P. N. George of Kottakkad Puthenveettil, Kannankode, Adoor, and Aleyamma of Pinuvilayil Thengumthundiyl, Thevalakara. Thirumenis mother parish is Adoor Kannamkode MTC.

He obtained his graduation in Science from Catholicate College in Pathanamthitta. Thirumeni completed his B.D. from Kottayam Theological Seminary (1982-1985). He was ordained as a deacon on June 1, 1985 at Adoor Kannamkode MTC by Easow Mar Timotheos Episcopa, and as a priest on June 14, 1985 at Kottarakara MTC by Easow Mar Timotheos Episcopa.
He was ordained as a Ramban on May 7, 2011 and consecrated as an Episcopa on August 13, 2011. He received his Masters degree in Sociology from Indore University and M.Th. and Ph.D. from Dharmaaram Theological College, Bangalore based on the subject "Holy Communion and Spirituality". He also had his higher education from Amsterdam University, Netherlands during his doctoral studies. Thirumeni served as priest in parishes at Chengaroth, Chempanoda, Anakulam, Gandhigram, Bhuj, Bhav Nagar, Mumbai Goregaon, Colaba, Thumkur, Kalamassery, Chengannur-Thittamel, Pularicadu, and Chirayirambu. Rt. Rev. Zacharias Mar Aprem Episcopa was born on 22nd April 1969 as the son of Chemmannoor Sri. C. C. Pappachan and Smt. T. V. Saramma of Arthat Kunnamkulam Mar Thoma Parish.

He completed his B.Sc. in Mathematics from Sreekrishna College, Guruvayoor. He obtained his B.D. from Mar Thoma Theological Seminary, Kottayam in 1997. He was ordained as Semmash on 20th June 1997 by Rt. Rev. Euyakim Mar Coorilos Episcopa and as Kasseesa on 15th July 1997 by Rt. Rev. Geevarghese Mar Athanasius Episcopa. He became an expert in the Syriac language by completing his M.A. in Syriac in 2003 from the St. Ephrem Ecumenical Research Institute, Kottayam. He then completed his M.Th. in 2007 from the Paurasthya Vidyapitham, Vadavathoor, Kottayam.

He had the singular opportunity to serve as the Chaplain to two Metropolitans – Dr. Joseph Mar Thoma Metropolitan and Dr. Philipose Mar Chrysostom Mar Thoma Valiya Metropolitan. He also served as the Vicars of the parishes in Elappara, Cheethalar, Mathaipara, Kolencherry, Valakom, Mamala, Gwalior, Bharatpur, Karukachal, Thane, Vadavathoor, New York, and Mylom.

 

 

He was installed as Ramban by Dr. Euyakim Mar Coorilos Suffragan Metropolitan on 2nd Oct 2023 at Pazhavangadikkara Immanuel Mar Thoma Church, Ranni along with Rev. Dr. Joseph Daniel and Rev. Mathew K. Chandy. He was consecrated as Zacharias Mar Aprem Episcopa on 2nd Dec 2023 at the Holy Madbaha prepared at the Thiruvalla SCS ground.

His expertise in Syriac and his deep knowledge of the liturgy of the Church make him an invaluable asset to the Church. His calm demeanour, thoughtful meditations, and wide ecumenical vision are also his hallmarks.

Rt. Rev. Dr. Joseph Mar Ivanios Episcopa was born on 19th August 1970 as the son of Karamvelimannil Sri. Thomas Daniel and Smt. Saramma Thomas of Kochukoickal Trinity Mar Thoma Parish.

He is an expert on Church History. He completed B.A. History from St. Thomas College, Kozhencherry and M.A. History from Catholicate College, Pathanamthitta, which he secured the First Rank, for which he obtained the University Gold Medal.

His theological journey started in the Mar Thoma Theological Seminary, Kottayam. He obtained his B.D. in 1998, after which he was ordained as Semmash on 19 June 1998 by Rt. Rev. Geevarghese Mar Athanasius Episcopa and Kassessa on 16 July 1998 by Rt. Rev. Euyakim Mar Coorilos Episcopa. He progressed in his theological exploration by completing M.Th in History of Christianity at FFRRC, Kottayam in 2006. He then completed his D.Th in History of Christianity from the University of Bern, Switzerland in 2014 and Post-doctoral research in 2019.

He had the opportunity to serve as Chaplain to the then Metropolitan Dr. Alexander Mar Thoma, and also as a faculty of History of Christianity in the E.J. Institute, Kompady, and Mar Thoma Theological Seminary. He served as Vicar in various parishes in Mylom, K.R. Puram and Marathhalli in Bangalore, Singapore, Switzerland and Germany, and Kumbanad. He has represented the Church in various ecumenical platforms such as the WCC and CCA. He is also the author of various scholarly books and has published articles in prestigious journals. He also served as a visiting professor at the University of Bern.

He was installed as Ramban by Dr. Euyakim Mar Coorilos Suffragan Metropolitan on 2nd Oct 2023 at Pazhavangadikkara Immanuel Mar Thoma Church, Ranni along with Rev. Saju C. Pappachan and Rev. Mathew K. Chandy. He was consecrated as Joseph Mar Ivanios Episcopa on 2nd Dec 2023 at the Holy Madbaha prepared at the Thiruvalla SCS ground.

He has a deep knowledge of the history of the Church and also a great vision of the mission of the Church. His writings and theological musings reflect his wide sense of the historical importance of the Church.

Rt. Rev. Mathews Mar Seraphim Episcopa was born on 1st May 1972 as the son of Kizhakkecherupalathil Sri. Behanan Chandy and Smt. Annamma Chandy of Mallappally Mar Thoma Parish.

 

He completed his B.A. in Economics from N.S.S. Hindu College, Changanassery, and his M.A. in Hindi from Rani Durgavati Vishwavidyalaya, Jabalpur. He is also an L.L.B. graduate from Hitkarini Law College, Jabalpur. Inspired by the Ashram movement, he joined the Sihora Ashram at a young age in 1993. He completed his B.D. in 2003 from Leonard Theological College, Jabalpur, after which he was ordained as Semmash on 19th June 2003 and Kasseesa on 31st July 2003. He continued as an Ashram member and worked for the people in and around the Ashram. He also served as the Vicar of the parishes in Sihora, Singrauli, Indore, Vishakapatnam, Guwahati, Gwalior, and Bharatpur. He also served as the principal of the E.M.T. Institute, Sihora.

 

In his capacity as the president of the North India Mar Thoma Evangelistic Fellowship, he published articles, devotionals, and participated in the translation of the worship order and songs in Hindi, enriching the faith community. 

In the footsteps of the Late Lamented Easow Mar Timotheos Episcopa, he was elected to the Episcopate as an Ashram member. He was installed as Ramban by Dr. Euyakim Mar Coorilos Suffragan Metropolitan on 2nd Oct 2023 at Pazhavangadikkara Immanuel Mar Thoma Church, Ranni along with Rev. Saju C. Pappachan and Rev. Dr. Joseph Daniel. He was consecrated as Mathews Mar Seraphim Episcopa on 2nd Dec 2023 at the Holy Madbaha prepared at the Thiruvalla SCS ground.

 

His concern for the Mission of the Church and his spirit imbibed in the Ashram movement makes him a leader of the times.
