We have every reason to praise God for our life and the blessings we receive every day. Our diocese had the rare opportunity to celebrate the 85th Birthday of our Metropolitan, the Most Rev. Dr. Joseph Mar Thoma. On June 27th the members of the Diocesan Council had a memorable time at Brownsville, TX, hosting the breakfast fellowship with the Metropolitan Thirumeni.

Worship plays a central role in the life of a Christian. The liturgy that our church follows is very rich. It is biblical, ancient, oriental, and solemn. We usually use the St. James liturgy, but there are seven others that can be used as alternate forms.

I am happy to write this message for the Mar Thoma Messenger one more time and probably for the last time as the Diocesan Episcopa. God enabled us to enter into a bright, new and promising year 2016.



News::Bishop Messages:Besorah- January 2015

Our diocese started the New Year with the Leadership Conference which was attended by about 100 delegates representing various parishes from North America. The youth Fellowship members of the Carmel Mar Thoma Church, Boston, organized the conference very well with the help of the Youth Chaplains in the Diocese and the Diocesan Council Members. The conference was a blessing to all who attended.
